Keep Your Fuel Cool With DEI's Vapor Block Fuel Sleeve

The heat your engine produces can cause the various liquids that are flowing around the engine bay to experience problems. The lines fluids travel through aren’t designed to protect their contents from excessive heat, so you need to take some extra steps to reduce heat exposure. Thankfully, Design Engineering Inc. (DEI) created its versatile Vapor Block fuel line sleeve to combat engine bay heat.

When fuel is exposed to elevated temperatures inside the fuel lines it will begin to vaporize. As the fuel vaporizes, it turns from a liquid to a gas, and when that happens the fuel pump can’t get fuel to its final destination. This process causes your vehicle to run poorly, or stop running altogether.

The Vapor Block sleeve is made from glass fiber and polyester material that’s bonded to an outer aluminum layer. DEI has made it easy to install Vapor Block by using a split design with the material, so all you have to do is wrap the Vapor Block around the line and fold the adhesive flap over to seal it. This design allows you to install the Vapor Block sleeve without disconnecting any lines. You can also cut Vapor Block to length.

DEI offers Vapor Block fuel line sleeves in 3/8-, 5/8-, and 1 x 36-inch diameters. The Vapor Block sleeve can be used on brake lines and transmission lines as well, to help prevent vapor lock. You can learn more about the Vapor Block fuel sleeve in this video and right here on DEI’s website.
