Mercedes’ F1 W14 car, which it will race in the 2023 Formula 1 season, is to be launched on Wednesday 15th February.

After winning only one grand prix last year, Mercedes will be hoping to recapture their former success with their new design after overcoming several of the problems and the design misdirections they took in 2022 under the first year of F1’s new technical regulations.

Russell won last year’s Brazilian Grand Prix in his first season with Mercedes, while Hamilton’s time at the team since joining in 2023 has resulted in 82 wins, 77 pole positions and six world championship titles.

There’s a change in the supporting line-up of drivers, as Nyck de Vries and Stoffel Vandoorne have both left Mercedes after winning Formula E titles for the brand and acting as F1 reserves.

De Vries has finally landed a full-time seat in F1 by joining AlphaTauri, while Vandoorne has moved to DS Penske in FE and become Aston Martin’s reserve driver in F1.

Replacing the duo is Mick Schumacher, who lost his Haas seat at the end of 2022 and joins the team his father Michael drove for from 2010 to 2012.

Mercedes are currently the only team scheduled to unveil their new challenger on Wednesday 15th February.
