Chandler Smith Claims 2nd Xfinity Pole of Season in Bristol 

Nascar Xfinity Series driver Chandler Smith NKP

Chandler Smith will lead the NASCAR Xfinity Series field to the green at Bristol Motor Speedway with a time of 121.366 mph beating Cole Custer by over a tenth of a second.

Smith was the last car to go out in qualifying and laid down the fastest time in just one lap. Cole Custer qualified with a speed of 120.490 mph and will join Smith on the front row.

Anthony Alfredo had a great qualifying run and will start in row two alongside regular season points leader Justin Allgaier who looks to claim the regular season title this weekend. AJ Allmendinger rounds out the top five.

Jeffrey Earnhardt, Jeremy Clements, Brandon Jones, Kyle Weatherman and Jesse Love round out the top 10 respectively.

Dale Earnhardt Jr. will roll off 13th for his lone Xfinity start for the season.  

Sammy Smith will roll off 21st as he looks to claim a spot in the Xfinity series playoffs.

Thirty-nine drivers attempted to qualify for 38 spots with Dawson Cram being the lone driver to miss the race.

The Xfinity regular season finale will begin Friday night (Sept. 20) making its debut on the CW at 7:30 p.m. ET.
