Holley Performance has just introduced its latest product addition at the PRI 2024 show: a high-ram intake manifold designed for big-block Chevy engines. This answers customer demand and fills a gap in Holley’s existing product range, as the company had previously been missing high-ram intakes for both small and big-block Chevy engines.
Mark Gearhart of Holley explained the reason behind their development. “Holley’s never had a high ram for small-block or big-block Chevy,” he said. “So, it was time. We’ve got everything else, so it’s coming back around to the traditional muscle car.”
The new intake manifold has been designed with both performance and versatility in mind. It comes with fuel rails and customers can choose between two top configurations: a dual 4150 carburetor setup or a single 105mm throttle body to best match your build’s performance goals. The intake suits both high-performance racing applications as well as street use. With such a broad application range, it is a good choice for many car builders.
But here’s the good and bad news. While the small-block Chevy version of the high-ram intake is currently available for purchase, enthusiasts eager to get their hands on the big-block version will have to wait a bit longer.
Holley anticipates the big-block Chevy high-ram intake to become available in the first quarter of the coming year. This timeline gives potential buyers something to look forward to.
