The Xfinity Series Shows the Way Forward for NASCAR

Comcast has renewed its partnership with NASCAR, continuing to serve as both a premier partner of the NASCAR Cup Series and the entitlement sponsor of the Xfinity Series, it announced Feb. 4.

Comcast, which took over the reins of the Xfinity Series in 2015, is entering its 11th season as the entitlement sponsor.

This will mark the fifth season that Xfinity has been among the premier partners of the Cup Series, as it upgraded its sponsorship ahead of the 2021 season. The extension for the Xfinity Series entitlement sponsorship is for 2025, while the premier partnership is for multiple years.

In addition to the partnership extension, the Xfinity Fastest Lap program will award one race point to the eligible driver and owner with the fastest lap in each race, spanning across the NASCAR Cup Series, NASCAR Xfinity Series and NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series. “NASCAR is incredibly appreciative of Comcast’s continued partnership and their commitment to innovation and fan engagement within our sport,” Michelle Byron, evp and chief partnership and licensing officer at NASCAR, said. “Their contributions over the past decade, from enhancing the fan experience to supporting community initiatives, have been invaluable. We look forward to building on the success of our partnership during the 2025 season and beyond.”
