Cut The Slop In Your Corvette’s Transaxle With BMR Suspension

BMR mount kit

It’s a tale as old as time, once you start modifying your car, you start finding the weak links. Even in a performance car, manufacturers must adhere to budgets set by accountants as well as other considerations such as NVH (noise, vibration, harshness). In the case of the C6 Corvette, the factory transaxle mounts were designed to be inexpensive to make and soft enough for a comfortable driving experience while still delivering longevity for service life. But now these mounts are aging at 10-20 years old and they were never designed to withstand all the mods we installed under the hood.

BMR’s new C6 Corvette transmission and differential mount kit is a direct replacement for your factory mounts and installs in about two to three hours.

BMR Suspension’s new transmission and differential mount kit enhances the performance of your C6-generation Corvette by reducing movement that leads to power being transferred more directly to the tires and improving throttle response. While factory mounts are designed to absorb noise and vibration for a smooth ride, they do not effectively support increased performance. Once you start upping the horsepower and torque of your LS2, LS3, LS7, or LS9-powered C6, these soft stock mounts struggle with the increasing demand. Especially in the Corvette platform as its engine, torque tube, and transaxle connects the front and rear suspension like a spine.

BMR’s transmission and differential mount kit is constructed from 3/16-inch laser-cut steel plate and features either 95-durometer polyurethane bushings or Delrin bushings to provide exceptional strength and rigidity.

BMR’s polyurethane transmission and differential mount kit is constructed from 3/16-inch laser-cut steel plate and features 95-durometer polyurethane bushings to provide exceptional strength and rigidity. This kit significantly reduces transmission movement by replacing the factory rubber bushings with stiffer polyurethane bushings with minimal changes to noise, vibration, and harshness. Additionally, BMR’s new mount kit allows your Corvette’s transmission to respond more quickly than the factory mounts. Loose mounts can lead to sloppy drivetrain performance, inhibiting the ability to directly transfer the power to the road and even reducing effective throttle response.

For extreme power applications that need a more rigid mount without going to a full-solid mount can opt for BMR’s Delrin bushed mounts instead of polyurethane….
