The Gazzetta Dello Sport, a well-known Italian sports newspaper, reported in a recent note that the Ferrari-Leclerc contract includes a “release” clause that takes into account the result of the next season.

According to the newspaper, Leclerc’s contract, which expires in 2024, contains a special clause that is valid from 2022: if Ferrari does not place at least third in the Constructors’ Championship, the driver would have the opportunity to end his relationship with the Prancing Horse in advance.
