Colombian driver Tatiana Calderon, who has been a Formula 1 test driver and ambassador with Alfa Romeo Racing ORLEN for the last four years, becomes the first female driver to compete for AJ Foyt Racing in the American series.
Tatiana Calderon and living legend AJ Foyt – the only driver to win the Indy 500 (four times), Daytona 500, 24 Hours of Le Mans, 24 Hours of Daytona, and 12 Hours of Sebring, have agreed on a deal that will see the 28-year-old entering the IndyCar 2022 season with the No. 11 ROKiT Chevrolet.
Speaking about this new step in her racing career, she said: “I’m thrilled and very thankful to Jonathan Kendrick, ROKiT, and AJ Foyt Racing for the opportunity to race in the NTT INDYCAR Series!
