British driver Lando Norris and McLaren Racing signed a new four-year agreement valid through to the end of 2025; the team confirmed Wednesday.
Ahead of the Formula One 2022 season, the iconic team founded by Bruce McLaren in 1963 bets on continuity in its journey towards a world championship contention.
“Teams are about people, and I love the people and feel at home at McLaren. I have grown up in this team, and I’m part of this journey we’re all on,” Lando Norris said.
In 2017, the Bristol-born first tested the MCL32 for the team in Hungaroring, making an impression within the British squad, which led him to become a member of the McLaren Young Driver Programme.
Later that year, at the age of seventeen, he would capture the European FIA Formula 3 championship in an outstanding campaign that included nine victories and eight pole positions.
