CORONA, CA – March 14, 2022 (Motor Sports NewsWire) – In front of a packed house at Detroit’s Ford Field Eli Tomac (Monster Energy/Star Racing/Yamaha) made it three wins in a row on the Monster Energy AMA Supercross tour, overcoming a mediocre start and passing Jason Anderson (Monster Energy/Kawasaki) at the main event’s midway point – never looking back en route to the decisive victory. The premier 450cc class win for Tomac, the 42nd of his career, moved him past Monster Energy-backed Ryan Villopoto and into 5th place on the all-time supercross victory list.
And in 250cc class racing in Detroit Monster Energy/Pro Circuit/Kawasaki’s Cameron McAdoo continued to shine on the podium, placing 2nd and staying within overall striking distance of Eastern Supercross (ESX) point leader Jett Lawrence (Honda).
