Play the daily F1 Wordle game on Planet Sport

Sportword, F1 Wordle logo.

We are delighted to announce the launch of Sportword, Planet Sport’s new game which challenges you to guess F1 and other sport-related words within six attempts.

As you might have guessed, it’s the Formula One version we’re hosting here on PlanetF1, adding to our many other F1 quizzes you already love.

We are busy building a new home for Sportword and all our other sport games and quizzes, but in the meantime, you can play the daily F1 game right here so please bookmark this page, try today’s word and then come back tomorrow.

How to play

Simply put, you have six attempts to guess a five-letter word. There will be a clue for each one to focus your mind a little.

Type in your first guess then hit enter. Each tile will change colour to indicate if the letter is in the correct position, elsewhere in the word or does not appear at all. A green tile means the letter is in the correct position; an orange tile means the letter is elsewhere in the word; a grey tile means that letter is not in the word at all.

If you are struggling, you will see a hint button that becomes available from your fourth attempt. Clicking it will reveal a tile, though note this is only available to logged-in users.

You can also click Give Up if you’re really struggling and just want to be put out of your misery. It’s not one for the purists, but it’s nice to have the option!

As with all our other F1 quizzes, we also have a leaderboard that ranks players by the number of attempts and time they required to guess the correct word.

More Sportword games

We will be launching Planet Sport Games soon where you’ll be able to play all our sport quizzes, but football fans can play the daily Football Sportword game over on Planet Football in the meantime.

We will be launching rugby, rugby league and tennis versions shortly too, then at Planet Sport games you’ll be able to play sub-categories, for example 1990s F1 drivers. And logged-in users will be able to play as many of those…
