Here are the results from the qualifying session at the Circuit de Monaco, the most critical qualifying session of the season.
Qualifying is underway in Monte Carlo, which will decide the starting grid for the 2022 Monaco Grand Prix.
Taking place over three sections over the course of an hour, the knockout system will see the five slowest drivers removed during Q1, the five slowest drivers removed during Q2, before the last 10 shoot it out to determine the starting order for the top half of the grid.
Charles Leclerc has set the pace in the first part of qualifying, while a late red flag resulted in several drivers not being able to put in a final flying lap.
The red flag was triggered by AlphaTauri’s Yuki Tsunoda striking the barrier at the chicane, resulting in a puncture. When the session resumed, a flurry of improvements saw Tsunoda one of those able to escape the drop zone.
Eliminated were Williams’ Alex Albon, AlphaTauri’s Pierre Gasly, Aston Martin’s Lance Stroll, Williams’ Nicholas Latifi, and Alfa Romeo’s Zhou Guanyu.
Results will be updated as qualifying progresses.
