Kyle Larson Holds Off AJ Allmendinger For Watkins Glen Weekend Sweep

Kyle Larson will remain with Hendrick Motorsports in the NASCAR Cup Series through 2026, the team announced Friday, Sept. 16.

HendrickCars.com will also stay as a 35-race majority sponsor through ‘26.

The reigning Cup champion joined Hendrick in 2021 after he was let go from Chip Ganassi Racing in 2020. Larson amassed 10 wins, 20 top fives and 26 top 10s on his way to the title.

“I can’t explain how much this opportunity means,” Larson said in a team release. “The chance to compete for the top team and best sponsors in racing is something every driver dreams about. I’m humbled to have incredible people in my corner and amazing support from so many fans. Thanks to everyone at Hendrick Motorsports and Hendrick Automotive Group for believing in me, Cliff and our team. Even though we’ve done some great things so far, I truly believe our best is ahead of us.”

So far this season the 30-year-old earned two victories, 10 top fives and 14 top-10 finishes.

In his career, Larson has 18 wins, 86 top fives and 141 top 10s.

Earlier this year, teammates William Byron and Chase Elliott also extended their contracts with Hendrick.
