“I was lucky that I didn’t touch Fabio”
Indeed, there was plenty of frustration for Pecco Bagnaia, with the factory Ducati star throwing away some crucial Championship points by attempting a last lap overtake on the title leader Fabio Quartararo (Monster Energy Yamaha MotoGP™). The error left the Italian visibly angry as he sarcastically applauded the move in the gravel trap.
“I did a huge mistake. I struggled today in overtaking, because my traction wasn’t the best and I was losing a bit of time in all the accelerations. I was so strong in the braking and I was a bit too optimistic in this case. I was lucky that I didn’t touch Fabio in my crash, so I didn’t disturb his race, because it has been a big mess from me, and I’m not happy about it.
