LONDON, ENGLAND – October 14, 2022 – (Motor Sports NewsWire) – RM Sotheby’s annual London sale promises to be the biggest and best, with 54 lots going under the hammer in the auction’s 16th anniversary year. Adding to the previously announced Gran Turismo Collection, featuring 18 astonishing supercars and rally cars, the sale features a host of additional remarkable and rare cars from across the decades and appealing to a wide variety of collectors. The auction takes place on 5 November, during the London Motor Week, at Marlborough House, St James’s.

A London sale should feature some fine British cars, and few are more stylish or rarer than the 1952 Frazer Nash Mille Miglia to be offered in London. This example is one of just nine built by the historic Frazer Nash car company and is eligible for virtually every event on the calendar, such as the Goodwood Revival, the Mille Miglia, and Le Mans Classic. This example also boasts remarkable history, having been the show car at the Turin Motor Show in 1952 and is being offered from a remarkable 47-year period of ownership. A well-known and well-documented car, this is a car for any lover of versatile 50s sports cars with great provenance (Estimate: £550,000 – £650,000).

Another quintessential British car is the 1964 Aston Martin DB5, one of the cornerstone cars of many collections. The example offered is presented in its beautiful factory correct colours of Goodwood Green over Tan leather, and retains its matching-numbers engine. Having had an exquisite restoration by marque specialists Pugsley & Lewis from 2015 to 2016, this is surely one of the finest DB5s to be found on the market. Having been displayed at the 2022 London Concours, this fine example would be suited for concours events or being driven with enthusiasm (Estimate: £625,000 – £675,000).
