Luke Lambert Added As Crew Chief For Noah Gragson In 2023

#9: Noah Gragson, JR Motorsports, Bass Pro Shops TrueTimber BRCC Chevrolet Camaro

Luke Lambert, the current crew chief for Noah Gragson in the NASCAR Xfinity Series, will follow the Las Vegas native when he begins his first full-time NASCAR Cup Series year for Petty GMS Motorsports in 2023, the organization announced Oct. 25.

The veteran crew chief will return to the top of a Cup pit box after spending his first year with Gragson in 2022, where he has earned eight wins, 19 top fives and 24 top 10s.

“I’m looking forward to continuing this journey with Noah,” Lambert said in a team release. “This year has been fun and rewarding, and I’ve enjoyed every minute of it. When I joined JRM, it was because I believed in the organization and knew I’d have the opportunity to compete for race wins and a chance at the championship, and that’s exactly where we are right now.

“I see the same opportunity with Petty GMS. They’ve shown great growth this season and were able to get the team’s first win.”

It will be Lambert’s 12th full-time Cup season as a crew chief in his career, which has seen him earn one win while working for a number of different teams, such as Richard Childress Racing and Roush Fenway Racing.

Lambert, Gragson and the No. 9 JRM team are the top seed of the Xfinity playoffs and recently locked themselves into the Championship 4 round after winning at Homestead-Miami Speedway.
