Kyle Larson snagged the pole for the Xfinity 500 at Martinsville Speedway with a 96.078-mph lap in the second round of qualifying on Saturday (Oct. 29).
It’s Larson’s 14th career NASCAR Cup Series pole and fourth of the 2022 season. He’s going for an owner’s championship next weekend at Phoenix Raceway after winning at Homestead-Miami Speedway last weekend.
His Hendrick Motorsports teammate Chase Elliott will start alongside him on the front row. Chase Briscoe slots in third, Ryan Blaney clocks in fourth and Cole Custer rounds out the top five.
Brad Keselowski begins in sixth place while Daniel Suarez starts in seventh. Kevin Harvick, the third Stewart-Haas Racing driver in the top 10, qualified eighth. Ross Chastain and Harrison Burton completed the top 10.
Denny Hamlin, who had the fastest lap time in practice, starts just outside the top 10 in 11th. Joey Logano is just behind Hamlin in 12th, while Christopher Bell begins 20th and William Byron rolls off 25th.
The Xfinity 500 airs Sunday, Oct. 30 at 2 p.m. ET on NBC.
