After debuting in the ARCA Menards Series in 2022, Casey Carden will return to Clubb Racing Inc. for the two road course races, the team announced Dec. 2.
Carden will drive the No. 03 at Mid-Ohio Sports Car Course and Watkins Glen International, with team owner Alex Clubb slated to serve as the crew chief.
The team does not have any sponsors yet, but Clubb said he wants Carden to become more comfortable in stock cars so the Georgian can run full-time in ARCA in 2024.
“Goals for 2022 are to post strong finishes on the road courses and gain experience on ovals,” Carden tells Frontstretch.
Carden is also looking to add three ovals to his ARCA schedule, he tells Frontstretch.
Carden debuted in ARCA at Mid-Ohio last year, finishing 23rd due to a brake failure on lap 1. Carden improved his performance at Watkins Glen, finishing on the lead lap in 15th.
Clubb’s team will remain full time in its sophomore ARCA season. Carden could run up to five events. In a partnership with Mullins Racing, Brayton Laster will again pilot the No. 03 at Daytona International Speedway and Talladega Superspeedway. Laster finished 13th and 26th in those two races in 2022, respectively.
Clubb will run the remaining 13 races unless the team signs another driver.
Clubb’s team finished 14th in the owner standings, with its best finish set by Clubb himself with an 11th-place finish at the Illinois State Fairgrounds.
