Usually, this betting market doesn’t allow for a draw because games rarely end in a draw in Aussie rules. In the case a draw happens, the bookmaker will refund your stakes.

For instance, you may need to predict the winner of a game between the Geelong Cats and the Sydney Swans. If you wager on the Geelong Cats, the home side, you can only get returns on your bet if the Cats win the game. Once the Swans win, then you will lose the wager.

Overall Points

Also known as the Total Points market, here you can predict the range of the total points in a game. Since a goal is 6 points, and “Behind” is 1 point, there are typically between 150 to 200 points in a single game. So, it would help if you predicted according to what a bookmaker has set.

Usually, the bookmaker would set a mark like 157.5 points, and you have to predict whether both teams will score over or under 157.5 points combined in the game.

The advantage of this betting market is that you don’t have to predict who will win the game because your only concern is the number of points both teams will score combined.
