Hi all. As someone who is truly passionate about motorsports and wishes to become a race car driver (although very unlikely to happen), i watch videos of racing techniques to understand and possibly apply when i go out go karting (for leisure, not professionally). I was watching this video regarding the racing line, and from 0:31 to about 1:25, the host states that the wider the line a car takes, the faster it can go through a corner. Apologies for this possibly stupid question, but wouldn’t that mean that taking a wider line is faster than taking the traditional racing line? and sorry if this doesn’t fit this sub but i was unsure where to ask on reddit
