There are no scenarios anywhere else in motorsports where demands are placed on the structure of a wheel more than an 11,000 horsepower Top Fuel dragster or Funny Car. And few have taken on the challenge of constructing such a wheel. But RC Components, already with an overwhelming presence in every other segment of the sport, saw an opportunity to develop an SFI 15.1 and 15.3-spec drive wheel, and come in at a very competitive price, with the company’s traditional great looks.
Those who wandered the halls of the Performance Racing Industry show last month may have gotten a first-look at RC’s new 15.3 wheel, and a few short weeks later, it is official and on sale. The brand new F-5 wheel is a one-piece, 16×16-inch forged beadlock wheel that RC assures is a game-changer. The F-5 has incredible strength built into its design, it’s lightweight, the same top of the line quality customers have come to expect from its RC Comp, and carry an SFI 15.1 and 15.3 rating. And like all of RC’s popular wheel designs, these are available in a polished or Eclipse finish.
The SFI 15.3 rating meets the demands of Top Fuel, Funny Car, Top Alcohol Dragster and Funny Car, and Pro Modified, while the 15.1 wheel will satisfy the requirements for Pro Stock, Top Dragster, Top Sportsman, various Competition Eliminator classes, and others.
