SRUART, FL – January 31, 2023 – (Motor Sports NewsWire) – As a motorcycle Race Shop, WMR has been on the cutting edge of the Fuel Injection revolution from the beginning. It’s easy to see how this technology has become the future of engine development because of its almost endless ability to be tuned to perfection. Fuel injection provides a much more precise fuel metering system and is lightyears ahead of conventional carburetors. Today’s fuel injected bikes are controlled by a computer, and they can be adjusted for all types of riding conditions. The trick is to be able to go behind the curtain and make those adjustments. WMR Racing Development has done just that.
With that being said, it’s important to understand that just because the new bikes are fuel injected and controlled by an ECU (Engine Control Unit), they are not perfect out of the box because the manufacturer must build bikes that are tuned for “every man,” from a beginner to Vet. They also have EPA rules that must be met, so the bikes are somewhat detuned from the factory. This is where WMR comes in with our new “Competition Tuning Tools.” As the authorized US partner with MapTun, we have spent countless hours on the Dyno and the Track developing Maps that drastically improve the performance of your bike while doing it all within the stock ECU. That means all trouble codes and factory information can be accessed by your dealer, and your bikes data and history is maintained.
WMR has cracked the code and has the ability to enter and adjust the stock ECU so we can adjust it for maximum pow- er and rideability. Just like a professional technician could expertly jet your carbureted bike, we now have the ability to do the same and even more electronically from a computer.
WMR has been working on this for quite a while and has many Maps ready to be loaded into your stock ECU, but we continue to add more bikes and Maps every day as well as creating new technology such as the new NANO tool that will be available the second quarter of 2023. The new small (about the size of a flash drive) NANO will Bluetooth right to your smartphone, so you will be able to make adjustments and change maps as conditions change. Additionally, the NANO will allow for data logging & diagnostics.
The new WMR Competition Tuning Tools are not like aftermarket ECU’s that you have…
