Young’s Motorsports announced Saturday afternoon (March 11) that NTT IndyCar Series veteran Ed Jones will make his NASCAR debut.
He’ll drive the team’s No. 20 truck in two weeks in the Craftsman Truck Series race at Circuit of the Americas.
A native of Dubai, Jones has three podium finishes in 63 starts in the IndyCar Series.
“Excited to be racing in my first [Truck] race at [COTA] in two weeks time with [Young’s Motorsports]. [It’s a] new experience, and [I’m] ready for the challenge.” Jones posted on his Twitter page.
In two races this season, the Young’s Motorsports No. 20 has been driven by Derek Kraus and Matt Mills. Kraus finished 18th at Daytona International Speedway, while Mills finished 26th at Las Vegas Motor Speedway.
The Xpel 225 from COTA can be seen on Saturday March 25, at 1:30 p.m. ET on FOX Sports 1.
