Following a classic short-track race at Richmond Raceway a week ago, NASCAR continues its short-track stretch … only this time, things are getting a little dirty.
That’s right, both the NASCAR Cup Series and NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series are in the Volunteer State for a half-mile dirt race at Bristol Motor Speedway. This marks the third edition of the dirt race, which debuted in 2021.
A lot of exciting appearances will be made this weekend, so without further ado, here is who will be at the track this weekend.
FOX Sports Booth: Tony Stewart returns to the Cup booth this weekend. Smoke, who knows a thing or two about dirt success, will be making his fifth appearance in the booth.
Race Day Revival: The 2000s nostalgia will be on display this weekend, as a popular show will be returning for the first time in years. Former driver Kenny Wallace is bringing back Race Day Revival, a revamped show of NASCAR Raceday Live. Joining him will be NASCAR media personality John Roberts. The show will take place at the Trackside Live stage at 2:30 p.m. ET on Sunday (April 9).
Pre-Race Easter Celebration: In celebration of Easter, Bristol will once again host a special Easter service for fans. Musical performances will feature Christian artists Phil Wickham and Cory Asbury, with former NFL quarterback Tim Tebow speaking.
Grand Marshal: Rear Admiral Stephen “Josh” Jackson will give the command for the Food City Dirt Race on Sunday night. Jackson serves in the United States Navy as the Deputy Director of Operations and Integration Directorate at the Defense Threat Reduction Agency.
Honorary Race Official: Comedian John Crist will be in attendance for the Cup race on Sunday. Crist will serve as the honorary race official.
