Kyle Weatherman is back with DGM Racing for 2024 in the NASCAR Xfinity Series — only this time, he’s full time.
Weatherman will drive the No. 91, DGM announced Nov. 14.
DriveSmart Warranty will sponsor the effort.
“I can’t express how grateful I am for the opportunity to run DGM Racing’s No. 91 full time next year,” Weatherman said in a team release. “The men and women at DGM put their all into racing, and I am happy to call this team home for the next 33 races. We’ve had a lot of great runs together, and I’m confident we will carry that momentum into next season.”
“Kyle is a well-rounded racer with a lot of knowledge and speed,” team owner Mario Gosselin added. “His dedication to the sport is unmatched, and I am really looking forward to having him join us in the shop and at the track for a full season. I’m proud to partner with DriveSmart, an organization that shares the same family values as we do, and I look forward to achieving new milestones with their support.”
Weatherman appeared at 26 Xfinity races in 2023, qualifying for 25. He earned a best finish of 13th at Watkins Glen International, driving for JD Motorsports.
Eight of Weatherman’s 25 starts came with DGM in 2023; he also drove for JDM, FRS Racing, SS-Green Light Racing and Our Motorsports.
In 109 starts since 2019, he has three top 10s. He appeared in the full season one other time, coming in 2021.
DGM has not yet announced the rest of its 2024 lineup. In 2023, it fielded full-time cars with the Nos. 91 and 92, plus the part-time No. 36. Josh Williams drove the No. 92 in 2023.
