‘Visa Cash App RB’ referred to as ‘Racing Bulls’ on FIA F1 entry list · RaceFans

The FIA’s entry list for the 2024 Formula 1 season has confirmed the use of the name “Racing Bulls” by Red Bull’s second team.

Yesterday Red Bull announced its other team, which competed last year as AlphaTauri, had been entered for the upcoming season under the new title ‘Visa Cash App RB’.

Neither Red Bull-owned team has previously indicated what, if anything, ‘RB’ stands for. The initials first appeared on the original 2024 entry list published by the FIA last month. At the time the team informed RaceFans this was a “placeholder” for its eventual name.

On the updated FIA entry list issued yesterday, the previous company name “Scuderia AlphaTauri SpA” has been revised to read “Racing Bulls SpA.” The same name appears on team’s official website.

A Red Bull-owned company trademarked the name and a logo for “Racing Bulls” last year. This prompted speculation this would become the new name for AlphaTauri, which was previously named Toro Rosso when Red Bull first took over the team in 2006.

As before, the team’s chassis is named simply ‘RB’. Its team name has been revised from ‘Scuderia AlphaTauri RB’ to ‘Visa Cash App RB Formula One Team’. The team has been approached for comment.

Sauber’s official identity has also been revised on the updated entry list in line with its change in sponsorship. Its team name, previously Sauber, is now listed as Stake F1 Team Kick Sauber. Its chassis name remains Kick Sauber.
