Kyle Busch’s 2024 Truck Schedule for Spire Revealed

#8: Kyle Busch, Richard Childress Racing, Morgan & Morgan Chevrolet Camaro

Kyle Busch and Spire Motorsports have selected the five races that Busch will compete in during the 2024 NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series season, the team announced Feb. 20.

Beginning this weekend at Atlanta Motor Speedway with the FR8 208, Busch will pilot the No. 7 truck, backed by Group 1001. He’ll return with the truck at Las Vegas Motor Speedway the following weekend.

The winningest driver in series history will also be behind the wheel at Bristol Motor Speedway in March, Texas Motor Speedway in April and Darlington Raceway.

It’s his first time in the series since his longtime Truck team Kyle Busch Motorsports sold its assets to Spire.

“Even before I was an owner, I always enjoyed racing in the Truck Series, so I’m thankful to Jeff (Dickerson, Spire co-owner), TJ (Puchyr, Spire co-owner) and everyone at Spire Motorsports for the opportunity to compete in the five races that I’m allowed to do each season,” Busch said in a team release. “A lot of the employees from KBM transitioned over to Spire, and I’ll be working with (Brian) Pattie and the same group that I had last year, so while it’ll be a little bittersweet not having a KBM decal on the front of the truck and a [No.] 51 on the side, I know that I’ll be getting in the best equipment in the series.

“Once I’m behind the wheel, it’ll look and feel like home and just like always, my only goal will be to add more banners in the shop!”

Busch has made five starts in the series every year since 2018. In 2023, he scored two wins, four top fives and five top 10s.

He scored a 12th-place finish in the NASCAR Cup Series opener at Daytona International Speedway.

The truck he’ll drive at Atlanta, the No. 7, was piloted to a 20th-place result at Daytona by Corey LaJoie.

The FR8 208 will be run on Saturday, Feb. 24, at 2 p.m. ET, via FOX Sports 1.
