Charles Leclerc said he was satisfied with the pace of his Ferrari after finishing third in the Saudi Arabian Grand Prix.
However he admitted the race lacked drama as he was unable to put up a fight against the Red Bull drivers. He was unable to prevent Sergio Perez passing him for second place.
Leclerc finished 18 seconds behind Verstappen and 10 behind Perez, though the latter also had a five-second time penalty for a pit lane violation.
However the Ferrari driver took the bonus point for the fastest lap on the final tour and said he was encouraged by the performance of his car this weekend.
“We had quite good pace, because we had the fastest lap at the end,” he said. “I got a bit of help by the DRS, but overall the feeling was pretty good.
“It was a bit of a boring race because Red Bull were a bit too quick and behind we had a bit of a gap, but we took the maximum points we could today and that was the target. So that’s great.”
