The automotive industry is in need of young people to get involved and keep the service bays at dealerships humming. Instead of sitting on the sidelines, the Stellantis Group created the Mopar Career Automotive Program (CAP).  The Mopar CAP Program collaborates with 100 colleges and technical schools nationwide, offering a comprehensive curriculum aimed at guiding students towards rewarding careers in the automotive industry across various specializations.

Students from a trio of local colleges – Waubonsee Community College, Moraine Valley Community College, and Milwaukee Area Technical College – are set to engage in an exclusive Mopar CAP Program career networking event on Friday, May 17, at Route 66 Raceway during the NHRA Gerber Collision & Glass Route 66 Nationals drag races.

Through the integration of the Mopar CAP curriculum, these schools empower students to translate their passion for automobiles into promising career prospects. The students are equipped with essential training and foundational knowledge necessary to excel in working with vehicles from Chrysler, Dodge, Jeep, Ram, FIAT, and Alfa Romeo brands. By providing hands-on experience and classroom instruction delivered by certified educators, Mopar CAP ensures students gain a competitive edge in the industry.

Apart from the enriching Mopar CAP networking event, students will have the unique opportunity to interact with NHRA drag racing luminaries such as Tony Stewart, Matt Hagan, and Leah Pruett of Tony Stewart Racing.

Previously, a contingent from Waubonsee Community College showcased their prowess by emerging as finalists in the inaugural Mopar CAP Bracket Challenge held at the Chrysler Group National Technical Training Center in Auburn Hills, Michigan.
