LONDON, ENGLAND – May23, 2024 – (Motor Sports NewsWire) –  RM Sotheby’s is delighted to announce a further selection of sports memorabilia offered directly from former Formula 1 Drivers’ World Champion Nigel Mansell. A fascinating selection of 55 lots includes everything from helmets and winner’s trophies to jackets and race suits. This auction follows on from the incredibly successful automobilia sale that RM Sotheby’s held in 2023 in which over 300 lots from Mansell’s personal collection were sold, in the process more than doubling the pre-sale estimate.

One of the standout consignments from the collection is the 1993 Nigel Mansell Arai Signed Helmet. Estimated at £10,000 – £20,000, the helmet was worn by Nigel Mansell at the BTCC – TOCA Shootout at Donington Park in October 1993, and is paired with a photograph of Nigel Mansell signing this item as “Red 5”.
