For the first time since 2020, Sam Mayer will lead the ARCA Menards Series West field to the green flag.
Mayer earned the pole for the West race at Sonoma Raceway with a fastest lap of 92.872 mph.
Portland International Raceway winner William Sawalich, whose lap was two tenths off of Mayer’s pole speed, qualified on the outside of the front row.
On row two, Brandon Jones, who is pulling double duty this weekend, will start third, with Brent Crews starting fourth.
NASCAR Cup Series regular Noah Gragson will start fifth, driving for Rette-Jones Racing. Sharing row three with Gragson is Gio Ruggiero, who will start sixth.
Trevor Huddleston, Jack Wood, Eric Nascimento and Tyler Reif round out the top 10.
ARCA Sonoma Starting Lineup
The green flag for today’s General Tire 200 at Sonoma is slated to wave at 6:30 p.m. ET, and coverage of the event will be held by FloRacing.
