White Glove Results for Bonhams|Cars Online Europe Sale

BELGIUM – June 19, 2024 – (Motor Sports NewsWire) – The first edition of Bonhams|Cars’ No Reserve Sale – Europe Online saw impressive white glove results. The seven day online-only auction ran from 11-18 June 2024, with viewings made available in West Flanders, Belgium which generated great turnout. The 49-lot sale made a total of €2,424,240 with 100% sold by lot.   

The entirely no reserve sale offered the opportunity for buyers to get in on the action from the ground level which generated an exceptional amount of bidding activity. Although hosted in Europe, registrations reached global markets. With a total of 330 registrants spanning 12 countries including Belgium, France, Denmark, US, Netherlands, and the UK, nearly 100 registrants were new to the Bonhams network with 21 becoming first-time buyers.

Highlights of the sale included: 

  • 2010 Lamborghini Murciélago LP640 Roadster, sold for €244,160. Equipped with SV-inspired Liberty Walk package, the 6.5-litre V12 supercar had covered only 7,200km. 
  • 1967 Iso Grifo GL Series I Custom, sold for €229,600. One of only 330 Series 1 Grifo’s built, this example received extensive upgrades including a Series 2 conversion. The Italian marvel powered by a fearsome 5.7-litre American V8 saw period competition history and is believed to have been exhibited at the 1968 Barcelona Motor Show. 
  • 1970 DeTomaso Mangusta, sold for €210,000. A beautifully restored example of one of De Tomaso’s early creations, this European spec Mangusta was tastefully modified and brings out the motorsport-inspired potential of this 1960s supercar. 

Currently offered by Bonhams|Cars in the US, is the entirely no reserve, online-exclusive AMG Rediscovered: Part 1 sale featuring a vast array of pre-merger AMG cars, parts, and spares from the Estate of Barry Taylor, open for bidding until Monday 24 June.
