John Force experienced one of the worst crashes of his career during the first round of eliminations at the PlayNHRA Virginia Nationals. Force was racing Terry Haddock when the engine of his Funny Car expired at over 302 mph. It was a violent explosion that sent Force across the track, where the driver’s side of his Funny Car violently impacted the wall.
Force and his Funny Car then slid through the shutdown area before coming to a stop. With the assistance of the Safety Safari, Force was able to exit the Funny Car. Force was then transported to a local hospital for further evaluation and observation. So far, there still hasn’t been an update on his current condition.
