CHESEREX, SWITZELAND – July 3, 2024 – (Motor Sports NewsWire) – Bonhams|Cars fifth annual Bonmont Sale delivered exceptional outcomes for its two top-spec McLarens. Set against the picturesque backdrop of the Bonmont Golf & Country Club, near Geneva, overlooking the stunning Lac Leman, the auction garnered significant attention for its impressive lineup of supercars on June 30.
Among the highlights was the 2021 McLaren Elva, adorned in the eye-catching M1A livery of glossy British Racing Green, Atacama Yellow, and Anniversary White. Notably, the car showcases the number ‘9’ in Pure Black on Anniversary White Circles, while its seats are elegantly trimmed in Atacama Yellow. The McLaren Elva sold for CHF 920,000 (USD $1.02 million).
Another standout at the auction was the 2015 McLaren P1, boasting a striking McLaren Special Operations (MSO) Mauvine Metallic paint finish. This exceptional vehicle, featuring carbon fiber panels and trim throughout, was further accentuated by silver brake calipers. The McLaren P1 achieved a remarkable sale price of CHF 966,000 (USD $1.07 million).
The Bonmont Sale showcased an assortment of automobilia, a collection of eight motorcycles, 20 collector cars that were offered without reserve, and an enticing selection of supercars. Overall, the auction achieved an impressive total of CHF 8.5 million.
