The RACE Mopar Gate-Way Combines Holley EFI With Factory Electronics

We live in an amazing time for the high-performance automotive aftermarket. Car manufacturers are producing vehicles capable of horsepower levels unheard of from OEM engines just ten and twenty years ago. Innovation and advancements in tuning capabilities have contributed greatly to the performance we are seeing in modern cars.

One of the most popular platforms to benefit from modern technology is the Dodge Hemi engine found in certain models of Chargers and Challengers, as well as the Jeep Track Hawk. Big 3 Racing of Hinckley, Ohio, has recently launched a new product in collaboration with Rick Anderson Competition Engineering (RACE) Products called the Mopar Gate-Way. This product adds a whole new level of tunability for non-street driving situations, and allows more control for 2015 and newer Charger, Challenger, and Track Hawk vehicles that are equipped with Hemi engines.

The RACE Products Mopar Gate-Way is a module that allows a Holley ECU to function with all of the factory electronics.

The RACE Mopar Gate-Way is a true plug-and-play system that allows the use of Holley EFI ECUs while retaining the functionality and features of the factory dash and electronic accessories. The Gate-Way is installed in the vehicle using the OEM connectors that are normally plugged into the factory ECU. Once its wideband O2 sensor and power leads are connected, the Gate-Way is ready to work with either the Holley Terminator X Max or Dominator ECUs. There is no need for any custom wiring, so installing the Gate-Way module and harness is a simple two to three-hour process. Big 3 Racing’s Co-Owner and tuning expert, Rick Trunkett, had this to say, “Using the RACE Products Gate-Way we were able to add several features that are not available through any other form of OEM ECU or the Holley ECU by itself.”

Developed in collaboration with Big 3 Racing, the RACE Mopar Gate-Way module includes features and functions not available through an OEM ECU or a Holley stand-alone ECU.

In addition to the Mopar Gate-Way, you will need either a standard Power Harness or extended-length harness, coil drivers, and wide band sensor to work with the Holley ECUs. If you’re using a Holley Dominator ECU, the camshaft must be locked. For cars using the Terminator X Max ECU, the USB/CAN cable must be purchased to connect to the ECU. A CAN Input/Output module can be added to the Terminator X Max system for eight additional I/Os. The use of the optional CAN I/O module adds flex fuel…
