Lando Norris takes pole position for the Dutch Grand Prix – here’s the grid in full.
Not a great lap from Piastri – is he about to let a front row start slip through his fingers? He does, so it’s Norris and Verstappen at the sharp end. Perez loses fourth to Russell at the death.
Verstappen goes quickest with a 1’10.029 but Norris smashes that, faster by 0.356s.
Verstappen quickest in the middle sector but Norris is fastest at the start of the lap. Piastri will do his lap after them.
Stroll, who’s had a decent session so far, goes sixth with four minutes to go. Alonso beats that and also moves ahead of Leclerc for fifth place. “I cannot do more than this,” he says.
Russell doesn’t appear to be in the fight for pole position, he’s 0.436s off Norris with his first effort. Then it’s Leclerc and Gasly, followed by Stroll, Perez, Albon and Alonso who are yet to set times.
Q3 is go and the McLaren drivers are swapping quickest sector times. Norris goes quickest by a tenth – despite a twitch at turn 10 – and Verstappen is two-hundreds off Piastri. Verstappen says he went wide at turn 13 and wants his floor to be checked.
