After Chase Briscoe‘s 70-1 victory at Darlington Raceway last week, can we expect the same underdog values to rise up at Atlanta Motor Speedway with it being a superspeedway race?
I wouldn’t be so sure about the unpredictability at this track. Four of the last five winners at the new reconfiguration have been a part of the Championship 4 round once before. Even in the spring this season we saw past champions Ryan Blaney and Kyle Busch just seconds away from the win.
This impacts our betting card because the best drivers with the best equipment will be there in the end, rather than what we have seen at other superspeedway races like Daytona International Speedway or Talladega Superspeedway.
Atlanta being in the playoffs is a huge opportunity for the bubble drivers. Everyone from Brad Keselowski in eighth down to Martin Truex Jr. in 16th should see this race as a way to move on to the next round.
Guys like Austin Cindric (22-1), Daniel Suarez (20-1) and Harrison Burton (55-1) have the value to win this race outright in hopes of extending their fight for a championship to the next round.
