Santino Ferrucci will drive the No. 14 for AJ Foyt Racing in 2025, the team announced Sept. 12.
The extension is for multiple years, locking Ferrucci into the No. 14 for at least the next two NTT IndyCar Series seasons. He will be teammates with David Malukas, who also signed a multi-year agreement to join the team in 2025 back in August.
“I’m thrilled to continue with Santino in the number 14 car,” said president Larry Foyt in a team release. “We have really gelled over the last two seasons, and he’s a big part of our recent success. This continuity is great for the team, and I believe the pairing of Ferrucci and Malukas next season is a powerful combination for AJ Foyt Racing.”
“I’m happy that Santino’s back,” added team owner and IndyCar legend AJ Foyt. “We got to know him more and he got to know us and I think it made a difference. He did a great job this year and I hope we have an even better year next year.”
Ferrucci has raced in IndyCar since 2018, with his two most recent seasons being full-time in Foyt’s No. 14 entry. The 26-year-old Connecticut native has impressed in his Indianapolis 500 starts and is on track to finish 10th in this year’s point standings, which would be a career best.
“I think Larry’s done a great job building the team so they are now in a position to win an Indy 500 and compete for championships,” Ferrucci said. “Everybody that’s there is what made this team’s amazing turnaround. We’ve all put a lot of time, energy and hard work into this program and I really want to see it through, not just as the driver but on a personal level too.”
Ferrucci will look to finish the 2024 IndyCar season strong at Nashville Superspeedway on Sunday, Sept. 15. Coverage starts at 3 p.m. ET on NBC.
