Corey Day will attempt his NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series debut at Bristol Motor Speedway for McAnally-Hilgemann Racing, the team announced Sept. 16.

It’s a four-race deal for Day, who is in the No. 81 for Bristol and Martinsville Speedway. It’ll be the first time the No. 81 has been on track in 2024.

He’ll then drive the full-time No. 91 at Kansas Speedway and Homestead-Miami Speedway.

All four races will be sponsored by HendrickCars.com.

“We can’t wait to see what Corey can do in one of our Chevrolet Silverados,” team owner Bill McAnally said in a release. “It’s clear to see the raw talent and speed that he has in a sprint car, and we’re excited to help him get acclimated to NASCAR racing. Corey has shown to be a quick learner in his career, and we’re looking forward to him joining our team in these four races.”

“I’m excited to make my start in the NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series,” Day added. “I haven’t made many non-dirt racing starts, but I’m ready to begin learning more about this type of racing. I know I will face some challenges, but I feel confident in my ability to learn, and I know that I have great support behind me with HendrickCars.com and McAnally-Hilgemann Racing. I just hope to represent them well.”

The 18-year-old is a High Limit Racing sprint cars competitor. He has seven victories in 46 starts in 2024 and currently sits fifth in the series standings.

Day also made his ARCA Menards Series debut at Salem Speedway earlier this summer, finishing 15th. He’ll drive again this weekend at Bristol.
