With an ARCA Menards East Series championship within his reach, Connor Zilisch won the General Tire pole award for the ARCA Menards Series race at Bristol Motor Speedway on Thursday (Sept. 19).
Zilisch qualified with a time of 123.77 mph to beat out fellow title contender William Sawalich for the top spot. Sawalich, who set a time of 123.427 mph, will start on the outside of the front row. Zilisch can secure the East Series title with a finish of 11th or better, regardless of if Sawalich wins and receives max points.
ARCA National Series points leader Andres Perez will start third with Landen Lewis alongside in fourth. Tyler Reif in fifth and Gio Ruggiero in sixth will make up row three.
Dawson Sutton, Corey Day, Jake Finch and Dean Thompson make up the rest of the top-10 starters.
The Bush’s Beans 200 at Bristol is set to take the green flag at 5:09 p.m. ET. Coverage of the race will be broadcast on FOX Sports 1.
