Lando Norris dominated the Singapore Grand Prix to claim his third victory of the season ahead of Max Verstappen, despite hitting the wall twice during the race.
The McLaren driver led every lap of the race to win by over 20 seconds from his championship rival behind him as the race ran without any Safety Cars.
Oscar Piastri took the final podium position in third, overtaking both Mercedes drivers over his second stint.
When the lights went out, Norris successfully held the lead off the line while Verstappen came under pressure into turn one from Hamilton behind who had started on soft tyres. Verstappen fended off the Mercedes driver, with the top seven starters all completing the opening laps in the same positions they had started in.
Norris was asked to pull out a five-second lead over Verstappen around lap 15, but achieved that target before the end of lap 11. Hamilton was the first of the leaders to pit at the end of lap 17 to move from his soft tyres to the hards.
After that Norris was encouraged to try and extend his stint as long as possible to ensure he did not pit before Verstappen. Although his lead grew to over 20 seconds, Norris locked up under braking for turn 14 on the 29th lap and clipped the outside barrier, with McLaren reporting he suffered “minor” front wing damage as a result.
Red Bull eventually pitted Verstappen at the end of lap 29, allowing Norris to pit for hard tyres the following lap. Despite the minor damage, Norris continued to gradually increase his lead over Verstappen as, behind, team mate Piastri overtook both Mercedes drivers to move up into third.
