New Titanium And Aluminum Connecting Rods by CP-Carrillo

CP Carrillo New Product Material

When it comes to high-performance rods, CP-Carrilo has introduced new products for various motorsport applications. From sprint cars to aluminum connecting rods for top fuel dragsters, the company’s new line shows the best possible innovations in materials and design. Among the new products is a sprint car rod made from a new C107 high-strength steel alloy.

“This came out a little bit lighter even than our regular lightweight steel rod,” a representative from CP Carrillo explained.”So it looked like it was a little bit of a middle ground between your other two options, the steel and the titanium.” The new material balances some level of strength and weight that should have an advantage for the race drivers.

CP Carrillo has also been upgrading their existing product lines. A new late-model rod now comes with an upgraded 3/8-inch bolt. While the bolts themselves do not provide the strength, the change allows for an optimized design. For high-stress applications and alcohol-fueled engines, CP Carrillo has also developed a new heavy-duty rod incorporating a solid 12mm bolt. This development has roots in the company’s renewed focus on top fuel connecting rods.

In addition to these major developments, CP-Carrillo also expanded its product line to support specific engine platforms. Notably, a new connecting rod has been developed for the S58 BMW engine, reflecting the increasing interest in high-performance rods for this platform. With these new releases, CP Carrillo further solidifies its role in connecting rod technology with innovative solutions for racers and performance enthusiasts for applications ranging from high-end engine builds to aluminum connecting rods for extreme dragsters.
