M-Sport agrees new deal with Munster for 2025 WRC

Gregoire Munster will team up with M-Sport-Ford for a second full-time season in the World Rally Championship next year. 

Munster has agreed a new deal with the British squad to pilot one of two Ford Puma Rally1 cars after completing a maiden full season in the WRC’s top tier with the operation this year.

The Luxembourger, who will turn 26 on Christmas Eve, had been in the running to retain his seat with M-Sport. Munster will once again line up with Belgian co-driver Louis Louka.

This year the pair showed flashes of speed in their first full season in the top tier, highlighted by fifth-place finishes in Sardinia, Central Europe and Japan. 

“I’m really looking forward to next year and to have the opportunity to drive the Puma again, especially in the good team structure and atmosphere at M-Sport,” said Munster.

“I’m happy to be continuing with Louis as well, with the aim to continue our progress in the top category, and improving from where we finished in 2024. 

“Of course, that means aiming to break a top-five finish with fourth overall, and hopefully eventually some podium places too. I’m excited to see what we can do.”

M-Sport team principal Richard Millener is looking forward to seeing Munster and Louka take the next step in their WRC careers with the team.  

“I have really enjoyed working with Gregoire and Louis this year, so to have them back again in 2025 is a big positive for me,” said Millener.

“They made some great progress over the course of their debut year, and although we must remain realistic with the goals and expectations for them in 2025, it is a great opportunity for them both. I am very happy to be working with them again for another full season and I believe they thoroughly deserve this opportunity.”

While Munster offers M-Sport continuity heading into 2025, its second seat will be filled by a new face following Adrien Fourmaux’s decision to join Hyundai Motorsport. 

The team has stated that the identity of its second driver will be revealed tomorrow. 

“Heading into 2025, Munster and Louka will lead M-Sport’s line-up alongside another promising junior crew, set to be announced tomorrow,” read a statement from the team.
