Following the announcement that Kimi Raikkonen is returning to NASCAR at COTA, another F1 world champion has confirmed he is joining the field. Briton Jenson Botton plans to debut in the American series, driving at the Circuit of the American late in March for Rick Ware Racing.
The pursuit of a new challenge has led the 2009 FIA Formula One world champion, Jenson Button, to contest for the first time the NASCAR Cup Series, the top-level racing series of the National Association for Stock Car Auto Racing.
Unlike Kimi Raikkonen, who will make a one-off appearance, the Briton will debut at the race staged at the Circuit of the Americas (COTA), continuing with his three road course events program throughout the year, driving Rick Ware Racing No. 15 Ford Mustang car.
