Congrats for joining the motorsports family. That’s a pretty intimidating track to be your novice track. Not that I was any better – it was my second track, and due to issues in practice and qualifying, my first lap of the track was behind the pace car for the first race! At least I had marshalled at the track for 3 years before, so I knew the layout.
But have fun, watch your mirrors but don’t spend all the time watching the mirrors – need to watch where you are going too! Build up your speed and confidence over the weekend. Don’t try to be Senna in your first session. Build and progress to reach your peak performance – keep the learning curve going up.
Eat well, and especially stay hydrated. It will help keep you focused.
