- Triumph Motorcycles launches a Street Triple 765 R A2 variant
- Revised 765cc triple engine with 70kw power output and accessory restrictor kit
- Available in dealerships from September 2024
ATLANTA, GA – July 19, 2024 – (Motor Sports NewsWire) – Triumph Motorcycles is launching a new variant of its agile Street Triple 765 R with a revised power output, specifically for new and younger riders with an A2 licence.
Identical in every other way to the current Street Triple 765 R, with its Moto2TM derived performance and handling, this A2 compliant variant has a revised 765cc triple engine with a lower 70 kW power output, and an accessory restrictor kit can be fitted to reduce the power output to 35 kW, meeting A2 licence requirements. Once the rider has gained their full ‘A’ licence, the restrictor kit can be easily removed by a Triumph dealer to restore the bike to its unrestricted 70kW power.
“There are many new riders who cannot wait to jump on a naked sports bike with an aggressive attitude and high specification components. And now they don’t need to wait,” said Triumph’s Chief Commercial Officer Paul Stroud. “This Street Triple 765 R variant is a welcome addition to our A2 compliant range, bringing performance, style and precise handling, as well as our trademark triple soundtrack, to A2 licence holders across UK & Europe.”
The current Street Triple 765 R first arrived in dealerships in 2023, featuring engine upgrades derived directly from the Moto2TM race engine programme, which resulted in a significant step up in performance, with increased torque and improved responsiveness. With its aggressive styling, enhanced ergonomics and highest ever specification, this latest generation Street Triple 765 is performing well on the international stage.
ENHANCED ERGONOMICS
With its focused and commanding riding position, Moto2TM derived 765cc engine, gullwing swingarm and agile chassis, the Street Triple 765 R is an exciting ride for younger and newer riders, delivering the thrill of the performance naked sports set-up with a precise, predictable, confidence-inspiring ride. An accessory low seat is also available to offer shorter riders additional confidence, reducing the height by 28mm, from 826mm to 798mm.
HIGH SPECIFICATION
High-quality components include Brembo M4.32 4-piston radial monobloc calipers at the front and a Brembo single piston sliding caliper at the rear, as well as Showa 41mm upside down forks and a Showa piggyback…
