Brandon Jones will return to Joe Gibbs Racing in the NASCAR Xfinity Series in 2025, JGR announced Sept. 3.
The veteran is back at JGR in a multiyear agreement, putting him with the team through at least 2026. The exact length was not announced.
”We’re thrilled to have Brandon return to Joe Gibbs Racing next season,” Joe Gibbs, owner of JGR, said in a team release. ”He has a proven history of success with us and is someone that we know will be in the championship hunt each year. His veteran leadership will also be a tremendous asset to our program.”
I’m beyond excited to be returning to Joe Gibbs Racing and rejoining the Toyota Racing family,” Jones added. “My time with JGR was some of the most rewarding of my career, and I’m eager to build on that success as we chase more wins and a championship together. I’m ready to hit the ground running and make the most of this incredible opportunity.
“For now, my focus remains on finishing this year strong for my team, crew, manufacturer and Menards. We will push hard to win our way into the Playoffs and finish the year on a high note.”
Jones’ car number at JGR was not announced. He drove the No. 19 in his prior stint with the organization.
Jones competed with JGR full time between 2018 and 2022, amassing five wins in that span.
He moved to JRM in 2023, driving its No. 9. He earned three top fives and 10 top 10s in 2023 and has one top five and five top 10s so far in 2024.
A replacement for Jones at JRM has not been announced.
