For the first time this season, Connor Zilisch will lead the ARCA Menards Series to the green flag, as the 18-year-old has won the pole for this evening’s (Sept. 13) race at Watkins Glen International.
Zilisch’s lap of 119.547 mph was fastest by nearly seven tenths of a second.
He’ll start beside William Sawalich, who loses his streak of seven consecutive poles, rolling off in second.
Thomas Annunziata will start third, and he’ll share row two with Andres Perez, who starts fourth.
Gio Ruggiero will start fifth, rounding out the top five. Brandon Jones starts sixth.
The remainder of the top 10 includes Kris Wright, Connor Mosack, Lavar Scott, Ryan Gemmell and Marco Andretti.
During the session, Amber Balcaen spun on her qualifying lap and will start 28th.
ARCA Watkins Glen Starting Lineup
The green flag for this evening’s General Tire 100 at the Glen is set to wave at 5 p.m. ET, with the television broadcast being aired on FOX Sports 1. The race can also be watched on FloRacing with a subscription to the service.
