Ty Norris will be joining Kaulig Racing in an executive role starting in 2025, the team announced Friday (Sept. 20).
Norris will serve as Chief Business Officer at Kaulig after spending the last three seasons as President and Business Officer at Trackhouse.
“We greatly appreciate the role Ty Norris has played in the creation and growth of Trackhouse Racing.” said Trackhouse owner Justin Marks in a statement shared by Jordan Biachi of The Atheltic. “We have a bright and exciting future thanks to his contributions. We wish our friend the best of luck.”
Norris has been a presence in NASCAR for decades. He spent the early part of his career as an executive for Dale Earnhardt Incorporated from 1996 to 2004. He later moved to Speedway Motorsports, Inc. for two years before a stint at Michael Waltrip Racing from 2006 to 2015 followed by a period as President at Spire Motorsports.
“Bringing Norris and his wealth of knowledge to the executive team is one of several major moves Kaulig and Rice are making to solidify the trajectory of its NASCAR Cup Series program well into the future,” Kaulig’s statement reads.
In the Cup Series, Kaulig Racing currently fields the No. 31 Chevrolet for Daniel Hemric and the No. 16 Chevrolet which has been piloted by five different drivers so far in 2024. The team also fields three cars in the Xfinity Series, where Shane van Gisbergen has delivered three wins on road courses.
