The Diesel Invasion Is Coming To No Mercy

Diesel drag racing isn’t new, it actually has a rather large core following, and the vehicles that participate can throw down some big numbers. There have been a few diesel racers who’ve dipped their toes in the gas drag racing world, and it looks like those numbers are about to grow. Kyle Fischer from Hot Shot’s Secret is staging a big diesel invasion at No Mercy 15, and these racers are ready to put on a big show.

Ryan Milliken was the first person to really make a dent in the gas racing world with his infamous green Chevy Nova. That car set records and has won on radial tires several times. Jared Ring, Johnny Montesino, and the Miller brothers from Firepunk Diesel have also shown up at events like No Mercy and done big things.

Fischer and Hot Shot’s Secret have been big supporters of Duck X Production events through sponsorship of different classes. This year, Fischer is really stepping things up with a sponsorship of the live feed, a class of racing, and bringing a pack of badass diesel-powered vehicles to the race.

“We’ve got plenty of fast vehicles that run in these diesel series. I wanted to bring them to No Mercy to show off what they can do, and be there to support our gas racers that use Hot Shot products. There’s going to be plenty of great 5.90 diesel racers coming down to run the 6.0 index class. These guys are ready to show the gas racers what they can do,” Fischer says.

The goal for the diesel invasion is not only to put diesel drag racing in the spotlight, but to also help grow Hot Shot’s footprint in the drag racing world. Fischer has worked hard over the years to help the company develop products all racers can use at the track or in their tow vehicles. The diesel invasion at No Mercy is just the next step for Fischer’s goals for big-time diesel racing, and showing what Hot Shots can do for gas racers.

“We’re going to have an entire area set up for our racers to hang out. Fans can stop by and see the vehicles, and learn about what they’re capable of. It’s going to be a lot of fun, and it will be great to see our diesel racers do well at the event,” Fischer says.

It’s going to be interesting to see what these diesel racers do at No Mercy. These diesel combos have shown some serious potential on small tires. There’s a good chance we might see diesel records and radial tire records fall during this diesel invasion.
